Feature Requests, Bugs, and More

I would love to be one click to get to the appropriate view (at a minimum; there are probably others). And it doesn't have to be a page, you can just show me a listing or search filtered to the region, varietal, country, producer… I don't really need a page, I just need a quick way to get to that "pivot" and find other wines based on that. This would be transformational for the ease of browsing wines. From Tristan

On my wish list of features would be the ability to ask Cellar tracker on my phone, to show wines in common, where the member allows us to see their cellar, you can do this on the website but not on the phone From Mark

Rather than the “Like” / “Don’t Like” buttons when making notes of wine you’ve consumed, I would love to see a 5-star rating system so I could quickly see whether I thought something was “meh” (3 stars), or 4 stars for really liked it and 5 stars for “curled my toes”. There are many wines that I would rate 3 stars (great wines for bigger parties but prob wouldn’t drink otherwise), and many that I would rate 4 stars (great everyday wine but not toe curling). Would be nice to have a larger visual representation without having to look at notes. If there was a way to include that personal review on the face of the Collection, Consumed, Ready to Drink, etc pages without having to click on each wine, that would be gravy.

In the ready to drink list, would it be better to start with how many bottles are left rather than how many bottles were originally added. For this list all I care about it is how fast I need to drink what is left. Everything else is less relevant

The idea is this: almost every time I purchase wine, I purchase 4 to 6 to 12 bottles at that same store at that time, call it a “bulk” purchase maybe. Suggestion: small change - nice improvement, i.e. all the user to Select the store and then maintain the store for the remainder of the bottles in that bulk purchase. I have a long list of store which the app very nicely saves for the next entry. When the store for the current purchase is at the bottom of the list, I have to scroll down to find it for each different bottle….a time “waster”. I think this applies to many users of your great app. All the best, Jim Cramer

Hi First of all I think cellar tracker is amazing. However, I do not understand the valuation and the prices. For instance Kistler 2023 valued at 600 SEK? Price at market is at least 1000 SEK. Generally, I find many of the prices to be too low. Best Jacob Spens

From Chris: Enhanced Drinking Window Info: Would be amazing to show graphically for each wine the bell curve of the optimal drinking winding assuming proper storage. It could update dynamically based on both critic and user ratings.

Cellar Tracker is built to help me track my cellar. PLEASE give me a way to record my own thoughts on a bottle that I just drank — rating and comments — WITHOUT making this public for every other cellar tracker user to see. It’s PRIVATE if I want to remind myself that my wife thought this wine was a little too sweet or that I drank it at my cousin’s birthday party… but that information will definitely be relevant next month when I’m trying to decide whether to open the next bottle of it or something else. And it’s frankly nobody else’s business that I liked Wine A but not Wine B. It’s fine if some CT users want to exhibit their reviews like social media “influencers”, but it feels really really sketchy to make that mandatory.

I have 90 bottle wine cellar which has 9 shelves. It would nice if I could tell app how many bottles a shelf can store and then easily find shelf(s) that have free spot when adding new bottle

There are lots of wines that do not have a vintage year but do have a finite drinking window. (Most Champagnes and sakes, for example!) Currently, these wines have complete nonsense in the "drinkability score" and "drink by" window. For example I often see bottles whose "drink by" window ended before this bottle was actually bottled. It is incorrect to say that, e.g., ALL bottles of Veuve Clicquot NV have the same drink by window. A bottle that was bottled last year will improve a little and then last longer than an NV bottled 10years ago. Instead of showing wrong information (and, e.g., adding lots of noise/mess to my "drinkability report), CellarTracker should do one of the following: A) remove "drinkability score" and ready-to-drink windows from NV wines B) Add a concept of "NV but bottled on date X" (perhaps the purchase date if the true bottling date is unknown) and for NV wines calculate drinkability and drink-bys based on number of years since bottling date [preferred] Thanks!

Show CT score and pro scores in search overview. In the current app I often search for I wine and then pick a vintage based on the CT and pro scores I see per vintage in the search overview. The beta does not show scores in the search overview. See attached screenshots for the current difference
