  2. Visualize My Cellar

Visual option to show where my wine is in the cellar so I don’t have to count bins or rows etc. could be simple grid or complex 3D with label images. Just some way to replicate the design of my physical cellar into digital app.

  3. Visualize the optimal drinking window per wine

From Chris: Enhanced Drinking Window Info: Would be amazing to show graphically for each wine the bell curve of the optimal drinking winding assuming proper storage. It could update dynamically based on both critic and user ratings.

  4. View Wine Details after scanning Barcode

When you scan a barcode for a bottle it shows you the Storage Info, Bottle Size/Id, Purchase Information and allows you to Edit or Consume. There is no way to get to the actual Wine/Vintage details/Comments for a bottle from that screen. If you hit the "< Bottle Details" chevron it takes you back to the Home screen. Ideally the top section that contains the bottle image and wine title would be clickable and take you to the wine itself so you can see the latest information on your bottle. I agree that Edit/Consume are the most common actions desired when I scan a bottle, but I'd really like to get to the Wine Info in a single click after I scan a bottle.

  5. I agree, give us the old app (site) back!

The old site was so user friendly and now it’s not. If you are reading the feedback you will see why. All the new lists and features are not as important as being able to view, track, add and consume the wines. You’ve lost the basic premise that you named your site after, “tracker”. Please bring it back.

  6. Stop trying to improve things!

I've been using CellarTracker for a long time and think it is a great app but the appeal of the Android version is waning quickly. I used to be able to easily find wines in my cellar and look at reviews and other information about a wine. Now I have to muck around endlessly to find what I need and most times it's not at all easy. How about going back a few iterations and consulting more widely before taking versions fully operational? Maybe beta program for your users who are impatient to test new ideas and then rolling it out once they've been demonstrated to have widespread benefit??

  7. Let me rate wines/write comments WITHOUT MAKING THEM PUBLIC

Cellar Tracker is built to help me track my cellar. PLEASE give me a way to record my own thoughts on a bottle that I just drank — rating and comments — WITHOUT making this public for every other cellar tracker user to see. It’s PRIVATE if I want to remind myself that my wife thought this wine was a little too sweet or that I drank it at my cousin’s birthday party… but that information will definitely be relevant next month when I’m trying to decide whether to open the next bottle of it or something else. And it’s frankly nobody else’s business that I liked Wine A but not Wine B. It’s fine if some CT users want to exhibit their reviews like social media “influencers”, but it feels really really sketchy to make that mandatory.

  8. Drinkability scores and "drink between" windows are wrong for NV wines

There are lots of wines that do not have a vintage year but do have a finite drinking window. (Most Champagnes and sakes, for example!) Currently, these wines have complete nonsense in the "drinkability score" and "drink by" window. For example I often see bottles whose "drink by" window ended before this bottle was actually bottled. It is incorrect to say that, e.g., ALL bottles of Veuve Clicquot NV have the same drink by window. A bottle that was bottled last year will improve a little and then last longer than an NV bottled 10years ago. Instead of showing wrong information (and, e.g., adding lots of noise/mess to my "drinkability report), CellarTracker should do one of the following: A) remove "drinkability score" and ready-to-drink windows from NV wines B) Add a concept of "NV but bottled on date X" (perhaps the purchase date if the true bottling date is unknown) and for NV wines calculate drinkability and drink-bys based on number of years since bottling date [preferred] Thanks!

  9. no account sharing option in beta app

There doesn't seem to be a way to do account sharing in the new app like the old one, or if there is it's too well hidden. Here's the support page for account sharing as of now. https://support.cellartracker.com/article/56-account-sharing

  10. Map Feature of collection

It would be neat to have capability to see where wines are from in a map to help inform regional taste profiles

  11. Cellar Chat HISTORY

Cellar Chat deletes chat history after a 30-second conversation... I have to re-explain my request after having left the app even temporarily...

  12. Crop option when adding label

I would like to have a bit more editing options when adding a label. Being able to crop a photo from your photo roll in the app would be highest on the list

  13. Glassware Inventory

Please add a feature that allows me to keep an inventory of my glassware so that I can record how many I have and track activities such as purchases, breakage, need to replace etc

  14. AI Tool is Unimpressive

I have been using the new AI tool when I need a wine out of my cellar and frankly it has been less than impressive. For example, it has recommended the exact same 3 wines in my cellar for the past 3 meals. When I questioned it I was told that I had no Sangiovese or Nebbiolo in my cellar which is wrong (in fact one of the 3 recommendations it keeps giving me is a Sangiovese). The only reason I keep trying it is because it has access to my cellar. Even so, I think I am pretty much done with it. It is great that you are trying to integrate AI but this tool is no where near ready yet.

  15. ‘Weekend toast’ narrative doesn’t match reality

The weekend toast email just received states ‘you can also explore any wine without picking a vintage first, seeing scores, reputation, and comparisons before diving deeper’ Am I missing something? The UE on the new app still buries pro scores and therefore immediate and meaningful comparison is still not possible in the way that it is in the old app. So no, the changes dont ‘make it even easier to start the year discovering, tracking…. Etc’ If the UE updates really were based on member feedback then the new app would replicate the functionality of the original app in this regard, and the focus on the community stuff would be secondary rather than seeming prioritised for development. I’d much rather be able to search and compare properly than see the top ten of whatever…..
