  2. AI option not very intelligent yet

The AI still seems to struggle with basic questions. I asked it regarding gaps in my cellar such as different regions and styles of wine that I should consider adding, which it did answer to a point, but then when I asked for suggestions, it gave me a listing of wines in my cellar. This happened not once, but multiple times after I rephrased or repeated the question. For instance, after asking the AI to narrow down according to what might be available locally (we are very limited), it again just gave me options that I already own. It never did really seem to be able to answer the question in a meaningful way. This might just be due to the use of a smaller LLM for the AI compared to some other sites? I have had quite helpful interactions with ChatGPT asking almost exactly the same types of questions. I know the AI component is in beta right now so this issue might already be under review.

  3. Restaurant style wine list

It is sad that the functionality to display my wines in the wine list format has disappeared from the app. It is one of the best features of visualising the content. Luckily it still works on the web but it was really nice to browse through the wines on my ipad using the app. Thanks!

  4. Dark mode please

This is not a functionality idea, but something that is very important to me as a user.

  5. Stop trying to make this a social site!

while I totally benefit from the input of other oneophiles, would prefer if CT focused on things like easier bottle additions- barcode or UPC - Awesome resource for wine lovers, thanks!

  6. Ability to know where in your cellar you have room for more bottlex

I have 90 bottle wine cellar which has 9 shelves. It would nice if I could tell app how many bottles a shelf can store and then easily find shelf(s) that have free spot when adding new bottle

  7. No Vivino please

Initial fears are this is turning into a mini Vivino. Cellartracker is for the real wine drinking, inventory management utmost, viewing friends cellars and other reviews 2nd. The new app feels too much, too busy, too many pictures, too many suggestions, colour and bling over core inventory management functionality. Please don't lose sight over what made this so good. Vivino should not be viewed as direct competition.

  8. Create a new wine on mobile

I want to be able to create a new wine within the cellartracker mobile app. This is currently only available on desktop web and I'd like to be able to do this within the app when I'm adding a wine to my cellar that isn't already on cellartracker.

  9. I want to group (summarize) my wine lists

From Jonathan: by Grouping (using Microsoft's terminology here) I mean something akin to the "Summarize" feature you have on the website. When browsing a list I can summarize / group them by region, varietal, etc. Sure. I hope you can also add groupings, or at least note category / group totals somewhere - those are very helpful. And I still really wish I could sort / group pending wines by Store. That's huge for me for inventory control and when receiving pending bottles.

  10. New app is terrible

I have tried really hard to get used to the new app. I am the only one that finds every action to be more steps and less intuitive? Adding, consuming, and reporting all seem to be more complicated. As one example, the “add another wine” doesn’t go to the search bar anymore, creating the need for a couple extra clicks to find it. I’ve gone back to the old app and really hope it doesn’t disappear. Anyone else feeling similar or am I just a weirdo?

  11. Add search box back to default starting screen

I would like to open the app and immediately start typing to find a wine in my cellar. My most common entry point in the previous Android app was the text box in the "my cellar" tab with the magnifying glass. I could immediately start looking up any wine in my collection just by typing. In the new app, I have to tap on "in my cellar" and then start typing. This is needless friction when there's ample screen real estate to add the search bar back in.

  12. Bring Cellar Search to main page

I use the app primarily, and the desktop app for writing tasting notes. The current app immediately lets me find wine in my cellar. Now, the home page tells me stuff but to do anything useful I have to go somewhere else to find wines in my cellar. I don't understand the point of the home page.

  13. Not all of my wines are ready to drink

From Jonathan I've swiped down several times in both the In My Cellar section and Ready to Drink sections, but the numbers have stayed the same. I guarantee you not all my wines are ready to drink. https://secure.helpscout.net/conversation/2315525170/391780?folderId=6955752

  14. Add minimum votes filter

When searching for wine within any given category and sorting by score, it would be extremely helpful to set a minimum vote filter. This way, the wines with 1-2 votes and scores way too high can be filtered out. In general, scores are more statistically accurate with more votes.

  15. Make it easier to bulk relocate a mix of bottles

The phone app is great for certain things, among them scanning barcodes on DYMO labels. The Web interface is great for certain things, such as bulk editing of inventory records. So far, I'm stating the obvious. However, I think there's an opportunity for more synergy between the two: Here's the scenario that I think can be improved upon: I was moving four cases of wine from one bin to another. Two of the cases contained recently purchased wine from a case sale. To change the bin to the new one took almost no time at all. The other two were a mix of bottles from various wineries and purchase dates. I had to scan each bottle and relocate. The whole workflow would have been improved if there were a feature on the mobile app that allowed me to simply create a list of bottles by scanning a bunch of bottles, one after the other, with as few intervening user gestures as possible, save the list and then retrieve it in the Web interface, where bulk editing is highly productive. If this capability is already available, I haven't found it, so I thought I should suggest it. From Niklas
