Has there been any development in a drinkability spectrum that would allow users to add with each tasting note and/or score a live status of where the wine is at in objective terms, to accommodate for all tastes? The table below is a suggestion of the main zones on this spectrum from left to right. Coming from a family with many CellarTracker users, we have all found that the most essential indicator, before notes and scores, is to know whether the wine in a cellar with 1,000s of bottles (literally!) is at its best, regardless of whether it is a white burgundy, a Grand Cru bordeaux, or a basic rosé. The spectrum would allow a quick indication at a simple glance as to where the wine is right now, again not discriminating for various taste preferences (young & fresh, approaching peak, fully mature etc.) without having to scroll through the comments (that are still useful!) I might add also that a large approximate drinking window is not so helpful when trying to find the true peak, and so user reviews are the only way to know the true rate of maturing of the wine. From Chris: Enhanced Drinking Window Info: Would be amazing to show graphically for each wine the bell curve of the optimal drinking winding assuming proper storage. It could update dynamically based on both critic and user ratings.

When searching for wine within any given category and sorting by score, it would be extremely helpful to set a minimum vote filter. This way, the wines with 1-2 votes and scores way too high can be filtered out. In general, scores are more statistically accurate with more votes.

"Print Wine List" recently stopped working on my Android device

This is not a functionality idea, but something that is very important to me as a user.

I'd like to see less emphasis on the 'Grow your network' section on the home screen, please. I'd rather see more information about my collection or other wines, I'm not interested in networking - there are other apps for that. While some people may like that feature, it should have an ability to be removed from the home screen or moved down to the bottom of the screen. Thanks.

Cellar Tracker is built to help me track my cellar. PLEASE give me a way to record my own thoughts on a bottle that I just drank — rating and comments — WITHOUT making this public for every other cellar tracker user to see. It’s PRIVATE if I want to remind myself that my wife thought this wine was a little too sweet or that I drank it at my cousin’s birthday party… but that information will definitely be relevant next month when I’m trying to decide whether to open the next bottle of it or something else. And it’s frankly nobody else’s business that I liked Wine A but not Wine B. It’s fine if some CT users want to exhibit their reviews like social media “influencers”, but it feels really really sketchy to make that mandatory.

I have 90 bottle wine cellar which has 9 shelves. It would nice if I could tell app how many bottles a shelf can store and then easily find shelf(s) that have free spot when adding new bottle

There are lots of wines that do not have a vintage year but do have a finite drinking window. (Most Champagnes and sakes, for example!) Currently, these wines have complete nonsense in the "drinkability score" and "drink by" window. For example I often see bottles whose "drink by" window ended before this bottle was actually bottled. It is incorrect to say that, e.g., ALL bottles of Veuve Clicquot NV have the same drink by window. A bottle that was bottled last year will improve a little and then last longer than an NV bottled 10years ago. Instead of showing wrong information (and, e.g., adding lots of noise/mess to my "drinkability report), CellarTracker should do one of the following: A) remove "drinkability score" and ready-to-drink windows from NV wines B) Add a concept of "NV but bottled on date X" (perhaps the purchase date if the true bottling date is unknown) and for NV wines calculate drinkability and drink-bys based on number of years since bottling date [preferred] Thanks!

Initial fears are this is turning into a mini Vivino. Cellartracker is for the real wine drinking, inventory management utmost, viewing friends cellars and other reviews 2nd. The new app feels too much, too busy, too many pictures, too many suggestions, colour and bling over core inventory management functionality. Please don't lose sight over what made this so good. Vivino should not be viewed as direct competition.

I want to be able to create a new wine within the cellartracker mobile app. This is currently only available on desktop web and I'd like to be able to do this within the app when I'm adding a wine to my cellar that isn't already on cellartracker.

I want to edit vintage of the wines I've added when I accidentally enter the wrong vintage

I wish the slots in my cellar wouldn’t disappear when I consume a bottle. It’s a lot of effort to type in over 900 individual slots and then to have to retype them when I buy new bottles. Why couldn’t they just stay empty until I add new wine?
