  2. Feature suggestion: Offline mode in mobile app

Feature suggestion: How about adding an Offline mode in the mobile app? Currently, you simply cannot load the app if there is no data connection where you are. I understand there is no way of supporting full functionality of the app for all the stuff that requires direct/real-time access to the database but I would find it very useful if you could use the label search function say to capture label images / add some tasting or other notes while in a location without cell service (the obvious example being in an underground cellar at home or at a producer but also on a plane or wherever there might not be cell coverage (which still happens quite a bit at wineries in Europe at least!) The data could then be uploaded at a later time when a data connection is available again, for matching of the captured labels to the database for instance.

  3. Search inventory by bottle note (e.g. Coravin)

From Ricardo: I use the Bottle Note field to enter info about Coravin'd bottles. However I could not find a way to search for Coravin'd bottles on the mobile app. Can you please help? From CellarTracker: At this point you can only search this using our desktop website. You can in fact call that up on a phone: https://www.cellartracker.com/list.asp?Table=Inventory&FuzzyNoteMatch=1&BottleNote=coravin&FF=1 We hope to eventually support this in our new mobile app.

  4. Consume Should Require Bottle Selection

When you select a wine to consume and you have multiple bottles that aren’t in the same location, the app is picking a particular bottle by default. That’s a great default to avoid an extra step if you only have one bottle or if they’re all in the same place, but if you have multiple bottles, you have to remember to open that menu to check if it’s the right bottle. For mutiples, you should be forced to select the bottle based on the location.

  5. Being able to edit vintage after adding to my Cellar

I want to edit vintage of the wines I've added when I accidentally enter the wrong vintage

  6. Bottles list for consume is not useful, why do I care about a SQL id, show me location

I don't understand the purpose of showing bottle ids. What is the intended purpose for me to know this information. When consuming a bottle, I'm shown a bottle selection which shows size and bottle id. Why can't the app show location in that initial display rather than id. If course the dropdown shows all the locations, but of all the information you could show, the internal database row id is not my first choice and I suspect not the first choice of many people who use the app.

  7. New App is not an improvement

Been a long time user and value the community, and the web app has never been glamorous (part of its charm), but the new native app has not improved anything and makes the web app usability seem intuitive. Disappointing, as I know how much work and investment goes into software. Not a good use of our “donations “.

  8. I want notes to auto complete/fill

From Dan When consuming bottles, I was really missing the auto-complete on the consumption note. I rely on the autocomplete here (and many other fields) quite frequently so would be great to see this added!

  10. Option to „flag“ wines in my cellar („to drink next“, „to sell“ etc)

To have an option to easily (one click in the description or at a list) flag or to mark wines in my cellar with variable „flag colours“ would tremendously help me to keep things organized. One flag would be for those wines i select to drink on of the next occasions, driven by drinking window for example. another flag for my specicific purpose is for example those wines i intend to sell. another one for those i select for a tasting… comparable feature exists in adobes lightroom-app to organize and develop your pictures/ photographies.

  11. Bring back drinking window to my cellar list screen

it was really disappointing to see the drinking window get removed from the my cellar list view. What made this app amazing was the ability to filter by a type your looking to drink and then sort the list by what should be drank 1st so that you clear out the wine that is close to going bad.. It’s frustrating to now have to click into every bottle to see the drinking window.

  12. Please add “opened” flag

Please add some mechanism to flag bottles that have been opened (and ideally also the fraction remaining). In multiple situations, I may keep a bottle in my”cellar” and drink it slowly over time. Examples include: spirits, fortified wines (ports, madeiras, etc.), and wines using a preservation system like nitrogen gas or a Coravin. To accommodate this gracefully, you’d need to do a few things: add a “bottle is open” flag allow me to enter consumption notes without marking the bottle consumed (nice to have) allow me to enter multiple tasting notes on the same bottle — I.e. enter notes today when I open it and first try it, and then enter notes again a week later when I have another glass (nice to have) add a field for fraction of bottle remaining (nice to have) display “first opened” date and “most recent consumption” dates (essential) there’s no point in entering all this if you don’t also: display the above info when browsing through the cellar (I.e., in the “restaurant style wine list” — as that’s the only way to actually browse)

  14. Messy new app vs old in bottles summary

Here is the same wine in the old and new apps. I'd like you to consider how much space you are giving to telling me the dates of the bottles I've drunk and compare that with how little space you are giving to telling me how many bottles I have and where they are. Contrast this with the old app. So clear and informative telling me what I want to know. I can't imagine most of us really care about all the dates we've drunk a particular wine. I've also commented before of visuals and this also gives a good contrast between the two apps, the styling of the first gives far more clarity to the screen elements, despite my brains familiarity with the old app.

  15. Adding new wines to My Cellar

I have been using the new mobile app and I like most of the changes, but the "Add to cellar" is not near as good as the old app. I usually go back to old app to add to cellar. New app doesn't have a logical workflow when using the bar code or camera function.
