  2. Food Pairings

I want to be able to add/save food pairings for a wine as well as see what the community thinks are good food pairings for the wine I'm looking at within the cellartracker mobile app.

  3. I want to group (summarize) my wine lists

From Jonathan: by Grouping (using Microsoft's terminology here) I mean something akin to the "Summarize" feature you have on the website. When browsing a list I can summarize / group them by region, varietal, etc. Sure. I hope you can also add groupings, or at least note category / group totals somewhere - those are very helpful. And I still really wish I could sort / group pending wines by Store. That's huge for me for inventory control and when receiving pending bottles.

  4. Search inventory by bottle note (e.g. Coravin)

From Ricardo: I use the Bottle Note field to enter info about Coravin'd bottles. However I could not find a way to search for Coravin'd bottles on the mobile app. Can you please help? From CellarTracker: At this point you can only search this using our desktop website. You can in fact call that up on a phone: https://www.cellartracker.com/list.asp?Table=Inventory&FuzzyNoteMatch=1&BottleNote=coravin&FF=1 We hope to eventually support this in our new mobile app.

  5. Please add “opened” flag

Please add some mechanism to flag bottles that have been opened (and ideally also the fraction remaining). In multiple situations, I may keep a bottle in my”cellar” and drink it slowly over time. Examples include: spirits, fortified wines (ports, madeiras, etc.), and wines using a preservation system like nitrogen gas or a Coravin. To accommodate this gracefully, you’d need to do a few things: add a “bottle is open” flag allow me to enter consumption notes without marking the bottle consumed (nice to have) allow me to enter multiple tasting notes on the same bottle — I.e. enter notes today when I open it and first try it, and then enter notes again a week later when I have another glass (nice to have) add a field for fraction of bottle remaining (nice to have) display “first opened” date and “most recent consumption” dates (essential) there’s no point in entering all this if you don’t also: display the above info when browsing through the cellar (I.e., in the “restaurant style wine list” — as that’s the only way to actually browse)

  6. Option to „flag“ wines in my cellar („to drink next“, „to sell“ etc)

To have an option to easily (one click in the description or at a list) flag or to mark wines in my cellar with variable „flag colours“ would tremendously help me to keep things organized. One flag would be for those wines i select to drink on of the next occasions, driven by drinking window for example. another flag for my specicific purpose is for example those wines i intend to sell. another one for those i select for a tasting… comparable feature exists in adobes lightroom-app to organize and develop your pictures/ photographies.

  8. Show show the "In Stock" bottles first not the overall number

it is confusing to see the overall number of bottles we had first instead of showing the actual number of bottles remaining in the Ready to drink report. Thanks!

  9. Friends and followers functionality in the mobile app makes no sense

the home page of the new app highlights accounts to follow but I can’t search at all for friends I know use the app. Seems completely misprioritized - I want to look for people I know first and foremost not randoms

  10. Adding new wines to My Cellar

I have been using the new mobile app and I like most of the changes, but the "Add to cellar" is not near as good as the old app. I usually go back to old app to add to cellar. New app doesn't have a logical workflow when using the bar code or camera function.

  12. Change resistance?

Can't at this point be exact to why I still prefer the old app combined with the web site. I find that I have to force myself to use the new app, instead of the old, and still frequently find myself in my cellar with a laptop rather than my phone or tablet. Only upside is that the new app has multiple select filters. Tim

  13. Relocate improvement suggestion

Hulda Z Somewhat related to bottle Ids in my other posts, but I thought I'd pass back my experience with my current project relating to relocation workflow ... I'm re-organising my 300 bottle wine fridges. They have 7 shelves and each shelf is 2 bottles deep. Currently I have 2f, 2b, 3f, 3b etc to denote back or front of a shelf. Each shelf can have a stack 3 bottles high, so approx 21 bottles front and 21 back. This system doesn't work well - I have trouble when I need a bottle at, say 2b, because I don't know and can't physically see where that is easily, is it left or right, is it row 1, 2 or 3 on the shelf, so it's a pain to get a bottle out, so I often don't bother. So, now I am changing my bin system to have a single bottle bin, where the entire fridge is a "Location" and then the bin is 2f-1.1 to 2f-3.7 or thereabouts, so I will know exactly where the bottle lies in the shelf. This creates a little more work for me, but that's OK, and I have to be diligent if I move any bottles to ensure I don't get too many wandering bottles, but in terms of using the app to relocate the bottles, I have had to revert to the old app to do this process. Old app workflow is browse by location, look at bin 2f and wine by wine, show the wine details, then one by one relocate the bottles. The old app has a relocate option for EACH location, so I just have to click the location specific relocate and it's simple, as it opens up the relocate dialogue and has all the bottles in that specific bin selected, but not the others. In the new app, I can filter by location/bin 2f and see the wines, but if I click the relocate button it then shows me all bottles with the size+bottle id in the dropdown - including bottles that are not in the location I have filtered to, i.e. where I have more than one wine in N locations, it shows me the ones from all locations. Bottle ID and size are not helpful in the relocate process. NB: As a relocate workflow, I am not sure that size is particularly relevant for the majority of use cases - I do have some multi-format wines, but they are the exception, so IMO, I don't think size is a particularly useful in the relocation workflow for most users) Anyway, in writing this, the conclusion is that the location specific relocate is pretty useful and exactly what is where is really important. The filtering by location should show filter specific results, which I have highlighted in another post. One nice thing I did like about the new app was even though the filter by location and bin, which now shows me 80 odd bins for one fridge (I'm up to shelf 3), I was able to enter 3f and then selected the "Location" and it selected all the matching bins, which was a really neat feature - I wasn't sure if that would work, but it did! Hope the ramblings are intelligible.

  14. Make text size of storage location and price bigger

Can you make the storage location and price bigger in the app? It's really hard to read, particularly when running down to grab another bottle in the less well lit cellar From User

  15. Add user-managed preferences for Add via Receipt

[When using the add via receipt feature for adding new bottles], tax-included prices are definitely my preference. However, businesses may well prefer to track pre-tax prices (not sure how many restaurants or retailers use cellartracker). As for the other items, personally I would really appreciate allocations of discounts spread across the bottles (sometimes the discounts are listed as a lump sum under the individual bottle costs). For my own purposes, I ignore shipping costs, just because I have been historically lazy to do the calculations. Perhaps in the user's profile they could use radio buttons to decide whether to allocate order-level discounts and costs across bottles or to ignore them. From User
