  2. Add personalised Tags to wine

In addition to location/bin, would be helpful if we can add multiple Tags to wine for organising cellar and to look up in future. Example of tags "Day-to-day Drinking" "Business Dinner" "To Sell" "For Cooking" "For XYZ Parties" etc.

  3. Shop button opens up wine searcher but doesn’t autofill wine description/ name

clicking the shop button used to open wine searcher with the name and vintage filled out but it simply just opens the wine-searcher app and stays on front page

  4. Evolution

what would be awesome is having an IA feature like? -I have big wine lover that love old burgundy, which bootle do you suggest that I take from my cellar? Or -I am cooking butter chicken, which bottle do you suggest that I take from my cellar? Etc

  5. Add "I like it, don't like it, or neutral" to review flow

From Scott: There may be alternative categories to like/dont/neutral that work better--I'm not sure. I like the general idea because (1) I don't necessarily want to score someone's life's work as a 70 if I dislike it, (2) I don't always want to spend the mental energy to come up with a score, especially where at a dinner and trying to enjoy company, and (3) I want to be able to quickly and easily sort among wines I like without necessarily caring if the wine got an 89 or a 91. There is also a distinction between wines that are 100-point examples of a style that I dislike. I don't want to score that objectively excellent wine with my subjective 70-point score. I don't have a way to distinguish quality from my personal preference.

  6. Make it easier to bulk relocate a mix of bottles

The phone app is great for certain things, among them scanning barcodes on DYMO labels. The Web interface is great for certain things, such as bulk editing of inventory records. So far, I'm stating the obvious. However, I think there's an opportunity for more synergy between the two: Here's the scenario that I think can be improved upon: I was moving four cases of wine from one bin to another. Two of the cases contained recently purchased wine from a case sale. To change the bin to the new one took almost no time at all. The other two were a mix of bottles from various wineries and purchase dates. I had to scan each bottle and relocate. The whole workflow would have been improved if there were a feature on the mobile app that allowed me to simply create a list of bottles by scanning a bunch of bottles, one after the other, with as few intervening user gestures as possible, save the list and then retrieve it in the Web interface, where bulk editing is highly productive. If this capability is already available, I haven't found it, so I thought I should suggest it. From Niklas

  7. New app is better in some ways, worse in others

the new app looks nicer, and feels more responsive, but the. Umber of clicks to do really common things, e.g. search my cellar is way to high. It used to be right one the homepage, but now I have to go to my collection, and find the search icon, which is quite irritating. I don’t know how other people use it, but that’s the most common thing I do.

  9. Dark mode please

This is not a functionality idea, but something that is very important to me as a user.

  10. Provide option to turn off 'Grow your network' section

I'd like to see less emphasis on the 'Grow your network' section on the home screen, please. I'd rather see more information about my collection or other wines, I'm not interested in networking - there are other apps for that. While some people may like that feature, it should have an ability to be removed from the home screen or moved down to the bottom of the screen. Thanks.

  11. Visualize the optimal drinking window per wine

From Chris: Enhanced Drinking Window Info: Would be amazing to show graphically for each wine the bell curve of the optimal drinking winding assuming proper storage. It could update dynamically based on both critic and user ratings.

  12. Stop trying to make this a social site!

while I totally benefit from the input of other oneophiles, would prefer if CT focused on things like easier bottle additions- barcode or UPC - Awesome resource for wine lovers, thanks!

  13. Let me rate wines/write comments WITHOUT MAKING THEM PUBLIC

Cellar Tracker is built to help me track my cellar. PLEASE give me a way to record my own thoughts on a bottle that I just drank — rating and comments — WITHOUT making this public for every other cellar tracker user to see. It’s PRIVATE if I want to remind myself that my wife thought this wine was a little too sweet or that I drank it at my cousin’s birthday party… but that information will definitely be relevant next month when I’m trying to decide whether to open the next bottle of it or something else. And it’s frankly nobody else’s business that I liked Wine A but not Wine B. It’s fine if some CT users want to exhibit their reviews like social media “influencers”, but it feels really really sketchy to make that mandatory.

  14. Ability to know where in your cellar you have room for more bottlex

I have 90 bottle wine cellar which has 9 shelves. It would nice if I could tell app how many bottles a shelf can store and then easily find shelf(s) that have free spot when adding new bottle

  15. Tag consumed wines to drink again. Allowing the user to easily see the wines to purchase again.

Currently when I consume a bottle I can add a note if I would purchases it again or not. But there is not easy way to pull this back up. There is no tag that I can add/select that says purchase again. If this feature was available a user could pull up wines they enjoyed to repurchase. Now I have to keep track of this separately outside the app.
