  2. UX needs so much improvement!

I love CT - donโ€™t get me wrong. But I spend ages trying to find the right buttons and pagesโ€ฆ everything feels disconnected from each other. Such as follow and being friends with someone. Not being able to add wines directly in your cellar. Not always being able to add a wine when you search it. And pictures generally look messy and not coherent in my cellar. The user interface and experience generally doesnโ€™t flow nicely. And thatโ€™s coming from a Gen-Zโ€ฆ. Iโ€™d much rather upgrade if it didโ€ฆ Please work on this!

  3. See number of views on my reviews

From Andrew In the My Reviews tab the old app showed the number of views each comment I wrote had had. I liked this feature as it gave me an understanding of how interested the community were in particular wines I hold. Many members do not go to the effort of clicking the helpful icon or leave comments. Please consider bringing this dataset back.

  4. Bring back sorting and filtering of other usersโ€™ reviews (e.g by score)

In the old interface we had no fewer than nine options for sorting other usersโ€™ notes by, for example, score, vintage and tasting date. In the new app it appears that we cannot sort other users notes (now called reviews) at all. Use case: one of the great joys of interacting with other profiles on CT is the ability to quickly sort their reviews by score - thus revealing which wines are their all-time favourites and what they generally prefer to drink. Photo attached of how it looks in the old interface.

  5. See other wines by the same producer, region, varietal, country, etc.

I would love to be one click to get to the appropriate view (at a minimum; there are probably others). And it doesn't have to be a page, you can just show me a listing or search filtered to the region, varietal, country, producerโ€ฆ I don't really need a page, I just need a quick way to get to that "pivot" and find other wines based on that. This would be transformational for the ease of browsing wines. From Tristan

  6. Allow multiple filtering for variety

Currently, filtering of a collection is limited to one variety of wine at a time. For example, if I want to drill down to Italian grape varieties, I can only select one at a time when I am really looking for a wine with flexibility across varieties. E.g. I would like to be able to select barbera and nebbiolo and filter on both of these simultaneously so that the result displayed contains both varieties. Can this be applied to both the desktop and mobile apps please?

  7. Complicated user interface. Many wines not in the database!

  8. Clunkier than the old app

It used to be easy to add the wine from a photo or bar code, and select the correct vintage...now it takes a major effort. Going through various screens and edit options.

  9. Relocate option removed from wine card menu

Until recently, it was possible to Relocate bottles from two places. a) the wine list entry using the 'Relocate' link or b) from the menu in the wine detail page. Now for some reason, that wine detail menu item is gone and now you only have Consume, Edit and Delete. I am completely flummoxed as to why it would be removed. Support have told me to select Edit to edit the wine. From that Edit page, I can edit any detail about the wine, but what I can't do is relocate x bottles of my existing y bottles from that edit page, unless I am relocating ALL bottles. The subsequent response was that I should go into the Stock tab and then individually relocate bottles. Really...??? Given my not so clever fingers, I often find when I click the Relocate link (a) I miss it and get taken to the wine page. Now instead of a single menu/option click to get to the relocate page, I either have to go to an individual bottle and edit it or go back to the listing and try (a) again. Why on earth have you removed the second way to get to a dedicated 'Relocate' page where you can do just that. @Hulda Z there was a big discussion with many people around the workflows a year and a half ago. What's the logic behind reducing access to this oh so important feature? If it's about limiting options in that menu, I fail to understand why you can still Delete wine, but not Relocate it.

  10. Please stop blocking VPN users from accessing your login page

At one time you blocked VPNs from accessing your login page, but then stopped doing so for quite a long time. Youโ€™ve recently started blocking them again. Please stop. Thank you

  12. Dark mode please

This is not a functionality idea, but something that is very important to me as a user.

  13. Stop trying to make this a social site!

while I totally benefit from the input of other oneophiles, would prefer if CT focused on things like easier bottle additions- barcode or UPC - Awesome resource for wine lovers, thanks!

  14. Visualize the optimal drinking window per wine

From Chris: Enhanced Drinking Window Info: Would be amazing to show graphically for each wine the bell curve of the optimal drinking winding assuming proper storage. It could update dynamically based on both critic and user ratings.

  15. Let me rate wines/write comments WITHOUT MAKING THEM PUBLIC

Cellar Tracker is built to help me track my cellar. PLEASE give me a way to record my own thoughts on a bottle that I just drank โ€” rating and comments โ€” WITHOUT making this public for every other cellar tracker user to see. Itโ€™s PRIVATE if I want to remind myself that my wife thought this wine was a little too sweet or that I drank it at my cousinโ€™s birthday partyโ€ฆ but that information will definitely be relevant next month when Iโ€™m trying to decide whether to open the next bottle of it or something else. And itโ€™s frankly nobody elseโ€™s business that I liked Wine A but not Wine B. Itโ€™s fine if some CT users want to exhibit their reviews like social media โ€œinfluencersโ€, but it feels really really sketchy to make that mandatory.
