  2. Copy and paste wine names

I have often wanted to be able to select/copy the text of a wine in the current app, but it's not possible - it's not possible in the new app either, but it would be a really useful feature, as often I want to go and do a google search for that wine and have to type in again

  3. This isnt social media

i’m not looking for another social media app. I just want a convenient way to keep track of wine. Please stop forcing me to interact with the social features of your product.

  4. Integrate the 'Cellar' section on Wine Searcher with CT

ideally the Cellar in CT and Wine Searcher could be synced so adding a bottle in one app would automatically add it in the other. Sometimes shopping for a wine in WS, it's easier to add a bottle there but the Cellar section on WS is useless after that, nothing like CT. Thank you for all you do!

  5. Dark mode please

This is not a functionality idea, but something that is very important to me as a user.

  6. Provide option to turn off 'Grow your network' section

I'd like to see less emphasis on the 'Grow your network' section on the home screen, please. I'd rather see more information about my collection or other wines, I'm not interested in networking - there are other apps for that. While some people may like that feature, it should have an ability to be removed from the home screen or moved down to the bottom of the screen. Thanks.

  7. Stop trying to make this a social site!

while I totally benefit from the input of other oneophiles, would prefer if CT focused on things like easier bottle additions- barcode or UPC - Awesome resource for wine lovers, thanks!

  8. Add "I like it, don't like it, or neutral" to review flow

From Scott: There may be alternative categories to like/dont/neutral that work better--I'm not sure. I like the general idea because (1) I don't necessarily want to score someone's life's work as a 70 if I dislike it, (2) I don't always want to spend the mental energy to come up with a score, especially where at a dinner and trying to enjoy company, and (3) I want to be able to quickly and easily sort among wines I like without necessarily caring if the wine got an 89 or a 91. There is also a distinction between wines that are 100-point examples of a style that I dislike. I don't want to score that objectively excellent wine with my subjective 70-point score. I don't have a way to distinguish quality from my personal preference.

  9. Let me rate wines/write comments WITHOUT MAKING THEM PUBLIC

Cellar Tracker is built to help me track my cellar. PLEASE give me a way to record my own thoughts on a bottle that I just drank β€” rating and comments β€” WITHOUT making this public for every other cellar tracker user to see. It’s PRIVATE if I want to remind myself that my wife thought this wine was a little too sweet or that I drank it at my cousin’s birthday party… but that information will definitely be relevant next month when I’m trying to decide whether to open the next bottle of it or something else. And it’s frankly nobody else’s business that I liked Wine A but not Wine B. It’s fine if some CT users want to exhibit their reviews like social media β€œinfluencers”, but it feels really really sketchy to make that mandatory.

  10. No Vivino please

Initial fears are this is turning into a mini Vivino. Cellartracker is for the real wine drinking, inventory management utmost, viewing friends cellars and other reviews 2nd. The new app feels too much, too busy, too many pictures, too many suggestions, colour and bling over core inventory management functionality. Please don't lose sight over what made this so good. Vivino should not be viewed as direct competition.

  11. Plot wine valuations over time

What I'd like to see is wine valuations over the last 5-10 years. X-axis = time Y-axis = prices people paid on release (by geo) and auction pricing, or both. Selectable. The WMJ provides similar data.

  12. Shop button opens up wine searcher but doesn’t autofill wine description/ name

clicking the shop button used to open wine searcher with the name and vintage filled out but it simply just opens the wine-searcher app and stays on front page

  13. Report options

Could you add a report option to add consumed wines and purchased wines. It would be nice to have a more complete report when I go to a wine store and ask for advise based on wines I have or have consumed.

  14. Displaying the Correct Label Photo in the Cellar Overview

Currently, when I look at my list of wines, often a label photo uploaded by another user is displayed instead of my own. This makes it more difficult to quickly recognize and find my wines. When I open a specific wine, I can see my own label photo. It would be great if the cellar overview always displayed my own label photo, or at least gave me the option to choose which label photo is shown for each wine.

  15. Add barcode to existing wine

it would be very helpful if users could later associate a barcode with an already existing wine in the collection. This way, if a wine is first added manually or via label (because it wasn’t found by barcode), and later the app’s database is updated or the correct barcode becomes available, users can easily link that barcode to their existing wine entry. This would make future scans and inventory management much more efficient. Thank you!
