  2. Stop trying to make this a social site!

while I totally benefit from the input of other oneophiles, would prefer if CT focused on things like easier bottle additions- barcode or UPC - Awesome resource for wine lovers, thanks!

  3. Sort - multi-level, such as by Ready to Drink, then Variety, the vintage range or Region

I searched already posted suggestions and didn’t see this one. I primarily use the web version of CT due to its many options on the first screen on my phone and high functionality. My suggestion is to replicate the multi-level sorting functionality as I use it ad hoc but also to generate the 30 Saved Views I use. As an example, some of my Saved Views are RtDrink, then Color, then Location or MyBottles, Vintage (descending), then Producer (Qty Desc’g) or Purchases by Year Purchased (Desc), Quarter (desc), then Month (desc).

  4. Modify wine if incorrectly added

When adding a wine, if you accidentally select the wrong vintage or varietal, you have to consume the wine and start from scratch. It would be great if you could edit the actual wine selection after adding.

  5. Visualize My Cellar

Visual option to show where my wine is in the cellar so I don’t have to count bins or rows etc. could be simple grid or complex 3D with label images. Just some way to replicate the design of my physical cellar into digital app.

  6. Feature suggestion: Offline mode in mobile app

Feature suggestion: How about adding an Offline mode in the mobile app? Currently, you simply cannot load the app if there is no data connection where you are. I understand there is no way of supporting full functionality of the app for all the stuff that requires direct/real-time access to the database but I would find it very useful if you could use the label search function say to capture label images / add some tasting or other notes while in a location without cell service (the obvious example being in an underground cellar at home or at a producer but also on a plane or wherever there might not be cell coverage (which still happens quite a bit at wineries in Europe at least!) The data could then be uploaded at a later time when a data connection is available again, for matching of the captured labels to the database for instance.

  7. Locations and Bins should be persistent

I wish the slots in my cellar wouldn’t disappear when I consume a bottle. It’s a lot of effort to type in over 900 individual slots and then to have to retype them when I buy new bottles. Why couldn’t they just stay empty until I add new wine?

  8. Add alcohol % (ABV) to wine definition

I wish the wine definition section would include its percent alcohol. I realize this information isn’t always readily available, but when possible it would be nice. TL;DR: I find myself becoming increasingly sensitive to alcohol levels in wine. As heat levels are rising in many parts of the world, more and more wines have very high alcohol levels. It’s becoming an important factor in my purchasing decision, as it affects taste and balance. Thanks.

  9. Save/follow/like producer

FR to be able to save or similar a producer to lists or suchlike. I often hear about or are recommended producers without necessarily referencing a particular wine. Instead of having to do workarounds with adding dummy wines it would be convenient to list the producers to reference.

  10. Drinkability scores and "drink between" windows are wrong for NV wines

There are lots of wines that do not have a vintage year but do have a finite drinking window. (Most Champagnes and sakes, for example!) Currently, these wines have complete nonsense in the "drinkability score" and "drink by" window. For example I often see bottles whose "drink by" window ended before this bottle was actually bottled. It is incorrect to say that, e.g., ALL bottles of Veuve Clicquot NV have the same drink by window. A bottle that was bottled last year will improve a little and then last longer than an NV bottled 10years ago. Instead of showing wrong information (and, e.g., adding lots of noise/mess to my "drinkability report), CellarTracker should do one of the following: A) remove "drinkability score" and ready-to-drink windows from NV wines B) Add a concept of "NV but bottled on date X" (perhaps the purchase date if the true bottling date is unknown) and for NV wines calculate drinkability and drink-bys based on number of years since bottling date [preferred] Thanks!

  11. Decant or not decant

what about an advice, from the pro ideally, if the wine (i.e. the considered bottle) should be decanted or not, how much time ahead, or any good advice ahead of opening the bottle? Can be simple; decant / not decant / open 3 hours before serving / etc….. Thx for this app that i discovered only recently but really enjoy.

  12. Up-voting for wine photos

As a user, I would like to vote for the image that I would like to see represent any given wine, so that only high quality photos represent wines in my list view. Benefit: This will remove low quality/poorly taken photos making for a better viewing experience

  13. Ideas for cellarchat

From Igor a) What do the users I'm a fan of say about this wine? [saving me time having to scroll through notes] b) What are users saying about 1984 Barolo wines tasted over the last 12 months? [saving me dozens of manual profile opens and scrolls through notes] c) I'm thinking of buying 6 bottles of this wine. How would it fit into my cellar for this particular appellation? Is it plugging any drinking window gaps? [saving me time having to analyze my cellar myself] d) Help me understand which bottles of Barolo I should open each year. Look at all the Barolo I have stored in all my cellar locations. I like to start drinking my Barolo after 8 years from vintage, and check in on them every couple of years until 30 years from vintage. Give me an annual plan, starting with 2026, of which wines I should open each year until I run out of Barolo. [saving me a ton of time having to build and maintain a workflow outside of CT]
