  2. I want notes to auto complete/fill

From Dan When consuming bottles, I was really missing the auto-complete on the consumption note. I rely on the autocomplete here (and many other fields) quite frequently so would be great to see this added!

  3. Pivot: Be able to tap anything in wine details to take me there

a few times, I’ve craved the ability to “pivot” from a wine to a filter view or another page related to that wine. For example, if I’m on a 2019 Ridge Monte Bello, I’d love to be able to tap nearly anything on the wine or in the details to go to that thing. A non-exhaustive list of things I think should be clickable includes: “Red Bordeaux Blend” USA > Santa Cruz Mountains Any score/year in the Vintage grid (though “See More” takes you to a list you can click through, it would be logical to go direct if possible) Producer, Varietal, Region in About (and nearly everything in the “See More” view of About) Most often, I just want to quickly tap through to the producer to see the rest of their wines. It would be nice if that were possible from the very top of the screen, even. Where these go is mostly logical to determine, sometimes a page is appropriate (such as for the producer), sometimes a wine search filtered to the appropriate item. I’ve used this strategy in several apps and it’s been well received. Having the ability to “pivot” to related searches, lists, or objects enhances the ease of finding what you’re looking for and traversing relationships, making for an easier to explore app. It’s especially appropriate for a system with so many rich relationships like CT. As side feedback, the “See More” on some of the new cards takes some thinking to understand. It would be better if they were descriptive of what you’re seeing more of, for example “See More Details,” “See All Vintages” etc. (I’m a UX designer and this approach has tested well for me countless times).

  5. Stop trying to make this a social site!

while I totally benefit from the input of other oneophiles, would prefer if CT focused on things like easier bottle additions- barcode or UPC - Awesome resource for wine lovers, thanks!

  6. Let me rate wines/write comments WITHOUT MAKING THEM PUBLIC

Cellar Tracker is built to help me track my cellar. PLEASE give me a way to record my own thoughts on a bottle that I just drank — rating and comments — WITHOUT making this public for every other cellar tracker user to see. It’s PRIVATE if I want to remind myself that my wife thought this wine was a little too sweet or that I drank it at my cousin’s birthday party… but that information will definitely be relevant next month when I’m trying to decide whether to open the next bottle of it or something else. And it’s frankly nobody else’s business that I liked Wine A but not Wine B. It’s fine if some CT users want to exhibit their reviews like social media “influencers”, but it feels really really sketchy to make that mandatory.

  7. Food Pairings

I want to be able to add/save food pairings for a wine as well as see what the community thinks are good food pairings for the wine I'm looking at within the cellartracker mobile app.

  8. Drinkability scores and "drink between" windows are wrong for NV wines

There are lots of wines that do not have a vintage year but do have a finite drinking window. (Most Champagnes and sakes, for example!) Currently, these wines have complete nonsense in the "drinkability score" and "drink by" window. For example I often see bottles whose "drink by" window ended before this bottle was actually bottled. It is incorrect to say that, e.g., ALL bottles of Veuve Clicquot NV have the same drink by window. A bottle that was bottled last year will improve a little and then last longer than an NV bottled 10years ago. Instead of showing wrong information (and, e.g., adding lots of noise/mess to my "drinkability report), CellarTracker should do one of the following: A) remove "drinkability score" and ready-to-drink windows from NV wines B) Add a concept of "NV but bottled on date X" (perhaps the purchase date if the true bottling date is unknown) and for NV wines calculate drinkability and drink-bys based on number of years since bottling date [preferred] Thanks!

  9. Add Cellar Chat AI to the Web/Desktop Version

While I love the new mobile version and understand why the cellar chat ai feature started there, I live on the wb version, even when using the iPad, so I would love it if the cellar chat ai version could be added to the web version as well.

  10. Barcoding location and bins from the app

Would n't it be nice to leverage your nifty app to move stock around: scan barcode with phone, select relocate, but the relocate menu lets you scan the bar code of the bin (or shelve of the fridge). Done. From Jean-Marc

  11. Possibility to create new vintages from wine details

When viewing a wine there is a dropdown for the vintage where another year can be selected but its not possible to add a new vintage from this view. Please add it. Now I have to go back to the list view and do it

  12. Dark mode please

This is not a functionality idea, but something that is very important to me as a user.

  13. Provide option to turn off 'Grow your network' section

I'd like to see less emphasis on the 'Grow your network' section on the home screen, please. I'd rather see more information about my collection or other wines, I'm not interested in networking - there are other apps for that. While some people may like that feature, it should have an ability to be removed from the home screen or moved down to the bottom of the screen. Thanks.

  14. Visualize the optimal drinking window per wine

From Chris: Enhanced Drinking Window Info: Would be amazing to show graphically for each wine the bell curve of the optimal drinking winding assuming proper storage. It could update dynamically based on both critic and user ratings.

  15. Ability to know where in your cellar you have room for more bottlex

I have 90 bottle wine cellar which has 9 shelves. It would nice if I could tell app how many bottles a shelf can store and then easily find shelf(s) that have free spot when adding new bottle
